Leadership Philosophy

Educational Philosophy

As an educational leader, my beliefs and values drive all of the decisions I make. I believe that all students are capable of success, given quality instruction. My goal is to ensure that, no matter my role, students are receiving high-quality instruction and find belonging in school. I will do this through:

  • Modeling the thinking and behavior that results in high quality instruction and belonging

  • Building a common vision among all stakeholders

  • Challenging the status quo to foster long-term improvement and encourage innovation

  • Building capacity and fostering trust and collaboration across stakeholder groups

  • Celebrating the successes and contributions of individuals and teams

Vision and Mission

One of the most important actions a leader can take is creating a shared vision and mission for an organization. In this artifact, I analyze a school's current vision and mission and create a plan for its revision.

90 Day Plan

The first few months in a new role sets the tone for a leader's work, and lays a foundation for the rest of their time in that role. It is therefore imperative that I have a plan to ensure success during this time and beyond. In this artifact, I create a 90 day launch plan.
